June arrives like a soft exhale.
The light lingers a little longer, the days stretch open, and something in us begins to thaw. There’s no need to rush into it. This is not the season of grand plans or perfect outcomes: it’s the season of soft beginnings.
Here at OutOfTheLines, we’re calling this season Rewilding Creativity. And just like rewilding a meadow, it’s not about taming the landscape. It’s about letting it grow wild and free — unruly, uneven, and deeply alive.
This month, we’re stepping outside the lines.
Not in a loud, rebellious way, but in the quiet way a pencil might wander across the page without asking permission. We’re gently setting down the idea that creativity has to be polished or planned. Instead, we’re inviting in messiness, scribbles, false starts, and warm, open air.
There’s something deeply radical about letting go of perfection. When you colour simply to pause, not to perform, something shifts. Your breath slows. Your shoulders drop. The page becomes a place to rest, not prove.
So here’s your invitation for June:
Start slow.
Go outside if you can.
Don’t worry about making something beautiful.
Just make something real.
Let this be a warm-up.
A soft start.
A way to feel your way back into creativity without expectation.
Let your pencils wander.
Doodle without direction.
Notice the light on your paper and the wind in your hair.
Welcome to Rewilding Creativity. We’re glad you’re here.
